The Flare 9 is suitable for road use when installed correctly as an auxiliary driving light. The main beam function must be wired to operate with the vehicle’s main beam circuit, unless it is only being used for off road use. The DRL / position light function must be wired and used in line with applicable vehicle lighting regulations.

Testing Standards

All components have relevant compliance documentation. Product assembly is checked for proper fit, electrical integrity and safe operation within rated parameters.

Important Note

This product is supplied as an auxiliary lighting accessory. The installer is responsible for correct installation and for ensuring compliance with local vehicle lighting regulations.

The driving light function must be wired and used in line with applicable road regulations, including correct switching, positioning, mounting and aiming requirements.

Safety Notice, Installation Requirements & Liability Limitation

This auxiliary lighting product is intended for use on compatible DC vehicle electrical systems only.

The light must be installed using a suitable fused relay wiring harness. Direct connection to the battery without appropriate fuse and relay protection is not permitted.

Installation must be carried out by a competent person or qualified auto electrician. The vehicle battery must be disconnected before installation begins.

To reduce the risk of electrical fault, overheating or fire hazard, the installer must ensure that:

  • The correct fuse rating is used and not uprated
  • All wiring connections are tight and fully insulated
  • Cables are routed away from heat sources, sharp edges and moving components
  • Wiring is secured to prevent chafing or vibration damage
  • The relay and fuse holder are mounted in a dry, protected location
  • The product is not modified or disassembled

Do not alter the wiring harness, fuse rating, connectors or internal light components. Do not operate if wiring is damaged.

Damage or loss resulting from incorrect installation, improper wiring, modification, misuse or failure to follow the supplied instructions is not covered under warranty.

Warranty

At Vantage Lighting, our products are built for real-world road use, harsh weather, and demanding vehicle applications. We stand behind the quality of our lights and vehicle-specific kits with a warranty designed to give customers confidence while keeping the cover fair and practical.

This warranty applies to Vantage Lighting products purchased directly from Vantage Lighting or from an authorised Vantage Lighting retailer. Proof of purchase will be required for all warranty claims.

Warranty Coverage

Vantage Light Units — Up to 5 Years

Vantage Lighting light units are covered for 5 years from the original purchase date against manufacturing defects affecting the core function of the light.

This includes:

* LED failure caused by a manufacturing defect
* Internal driver or circuit failure caused by a manufacturing defect
* Loss of light output caused by an internal product fault
* Water ingress caused by a manufacturing or sealing defect
* Structural failure of the light housing or lens caused by a manufacturing defect

This does not cover external damage, impact damage, incorrect installation, modification, misuse, or damage caused after the product has been fitted.

Finish, Coating & Appearance — 1 Year

The external finish of Vantage light units is covered for 2 years against significant coating defects caused by a manufacturing fault.

This includes:

* Premature peeling or flaking of the coating
* Significant corrosion caused by a coating defect
* Significant colour fading or finish failure not caused by external factors

This does not cover stone chips, scratches, pressure washing damage, road debris, accident damage, chemical damage, harsh cleaners, TFR, salt damage where the product has not been maintained, or normal wear and tear.

Minor cosmetic changes over time are not considered a warranty fault.

Vehicle-Specific Kit Brackets & Mounting Hardware — 1 Year

Vantage vehicle-specific brackets and mounting components are covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects.

This includes:

* Bracket failure caused by a manufacturing defect
* Incorrectly supplied kit components
* Defective mounting hardware supplied by Vantage

This does not cover damage caused by incorrect fitting, over-tightening, modification, vehicle impact, off-road impact, corrosion caused by external damage, or use outside the intended application.

Wiring Looms, Relays, Switches & Connectors — 1 Year

Wiring looms, relays, switches, fuses, fuse holders, connectors, and electrical accessories supplied as part of a Vantage kit are covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects.

This includes:

* Faulty relays
* Faulty switches
* Defective connectors supplied by Vantage
* Wiring faults caused by a manufacturing defect

This does not cover incorrect installation, poor earth points, incorrect power supply, blown fuses caused by vehicle faults, water damage from badly sealed connections, modified wiring, cut wiring, poor crimping, or damage to vehicle-side connectors.

The connection between a Vantage product and the vehicle’s own wiring is not covered where the issue is caused by installation, vehicle wiring, poor connection, corrosion, or modification outside Vantage’s control.

Condensation

A small amount of temporary condensation or misting inside a light may occur in certain temperature and humidity conditions. This is not considered a warranty fault if it clears naturally and does not affect the performance or function of the light.

Persistent water build-up, pooling, or moisture that does not clear may be assessed as a potential warranty issue, provided the lens, housing, seals, and breather system have not been damaged or tampered with.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

* Incorrect installation or wiring
* Products that have been modified, opened, dismantled, or repaired without approval
* Damage caused by impact, accident, misuse, neglect, or abuse
* Damage caused by pressure washing, harsh chemicals, acidic or alkaline cleaners, TFR, solvents, or salt exposure without proper maintenance
* Stone chips, scratches, dents, or general road wear
* Damage caused by incorrect voltage, poor earth, vehicle electrical faults, or non-approved accessories
* Labour costs for removal, refitting, diagnosis, or installation
* Recovery costs, loss of use, loss of earnings, or any indirect costs
* Products purchased second-hand or from an unauthorised seller
* Normal wear and tear
* Products used outside their intended vehicle application

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact Vantage Lighting with:

* Your proof of purchase
* Your order number, if available
* Clear photos or videos showing the issue
* Photos of the installation, wiring, and mounting where relevant
* A description of how and when the fault occurred

We may ask for the product to be returned for inspection before approving a warranty claim.

If a valid warranty claim is accepted, Vantage Lighting will, at our discretion, repair the product, replace the product, supply replacement parts, or refund the original purchase price.

Returned products must be securely packaged. The customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed. If the product is found not to be faulty, or the issue is not covered under warranty, the product may be returned to the customer and return shipping costs may apply.

Important Note

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
